Your insurer needs a current condition report before they will write or renew your policy. We provide an independent ABYC-certified survey with fair market valuation — delivered in English, accepted by Turkish and international underwriters, usually within 24 hours of inspection.
Marine insurance works differently from car insurance. Underwriters need to know two things: is the vessel seaworthy, and what is it actually worth? A decade-old Danışman estimate or a purchase price from five years ago does not answer either question.
An insurance survey sits between a quick walkthrough and a full pre-purchase inspection. We assess hull integrity, mechanical and electrical safety, fire suppression, lifesaving equipment and navigation lights. We then establish a fair market value based on comparable sales, condition and location.
The report tells your insurer exactly what they need to hear — and if there are deficiencies, we list them clearly so you can address them before renewal. Fixing a flagged item often reduces your premium more than the repair costs.
We work with boat owners across Turkey — Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek, Fethiye, Istanbul. Reports are written in English and formatted to meet the expectations of both Turkish and European underwriting desks.
Straightforward, transparent, fast.
Send the boat details — make, model, year, length, location. We confirm the fee and schedule the survey, often within 48 hours of inquiry.
We inspect the vessel in the water or on the hard depending on insurer requirements. Hull, deck, mechanical, electrical, safety equipment, navigation lights — everything documented with photographs.
Fair market value is determined using comparable recent sales data, vessel condition, equipment inventory, and regional market factors. We do not inflate or deflate — accuracy protects both you and the insurer.
A formatted English report with photographs, condition summary, deficiency list and valuation is emailed within 24 hours. We send it directly to your insurer or Danışman on request.
Insurance survey fees depend on boat length and whether a haul-out is required. Most insurers accept an in-water survey for routine renewals; new policies or boats over 15 years typically require a haul-out.
Under 30 ft: €350–€500. In-water inspection, no haul-out unless requested.
30–45 ft: €500–€800. Most common bracket. Haul-out recommended for boats over 10 years.
45–60 ft: €800–€1,500. Full inspection including detailed systems review.
60 ft and above: €1,500–€2,500. Large yacht inspection, multiple systems, crew interview where applicable.
Haul-out (travel lift) fees are arranged separately with the marina and typically range from €150 to €500 depending on the vessel size and marina. We coordinate this on your behalf.
If you combine an insurance survey with an osmosis check or a pre-purchase inspection, we offer a reduced combined fee — ask when requesting your quote.

No survey can guarantee a policy outcome — that is the insurer's decision. What our report does is document the vessel's condition transparently so the underwriter can make an informed decision. If there are deficiencies, we list them with estimated repair costs. Addressing these before submission typically strengthens your renewal application significantly.
Yes. We routinely send reports directly to insurance Danışmans and underwriting desks. Just provide the contact details when booking the survey. You always receive a copy as well.
Not always. For routine renewals on boats under 10 years old, many insurers accept an in-water survey. For new policies, boats over 15 years, or when the previous survey flagged hull concerns, a haul-out is almost always required. We advise checking with your insurer before booking.
The report documents the vessel's actual condition — we do not pass or fail a boat. Deficiencies are listed as Critical (safety-related, must fix), Advisory (should fix within a reasonable timeframe), or Note (cosmetic or informational). This gives both you and the insurer a clear picture. Most insurers will issue a policy with a requirement to address Critical items within a stated period.
Send us the boat details — make, model, year, length and current marina. We reply with a written fee quote on the same day.
