November - December
Haulout and Winter Lay-up
EUR 3,500 - 8,000
Antifouling application. Hull inspection and moisture readings. Caulking inspection - re-caulk failed seams. Through-hull and seacock greasing. Engine winterisation: coolant, impeller, zincs.
January - February
Structural Survey Window
EUR 950 - 2,400 (if surveyed)
Optimal time for moisture survey - hull fully dried. Frame and floor inspection. Keel bolt check. Standing rigging inspection. Sail inspection and repairs.
March
Systems Reactivation
EUR 800 - 1,800
Engine service: oil, filters, belts, injectors. Electrical check to ABYC E-11. Battery bank test. Navigation lights. Fire suppression check.
April
Launch Preparation
EUR 400 - 900
Bottom paint final coat. Propeller polished. Through-hulls confirmed operational. Safety equipment check. Registration and insurance confirmed.
May - September
Active Season Maintenance
EUR 200 - 500 per month
Monthly: engine hours log, bilge check, bilge pump test. Weekly: deck hardware, mooring lines, fenders. Antifouling dive clean every 6-8 weeks.
October
End-Season Preparation
EUR 600 - 1,400
Full wash-down and clean. Engine service if high hours. Sails removed and stored. Rigging final inspection before haulout. Document all season issues.
Annual maintenance budget (18-22m gulet)
Standard: EUR 8,000 - 14,000/year Charter vessel: EUR 14,000 - 22,000/year
