Heat and sun
Long hot summers, strong sun and humidity together wear gelcoat, canvas, windows and deck coverings. We look for mould and damp in closed spaces and oxidation on electrical panels. On boats with air conditioning and a generator, these systems are measured while running.
Common routes
From Alanya boats mostly go to Antalya and Anamur; Girne in Northern Cyprus lies across the water. For boats heading to Cyprus, engine, fuel, electronics and safety equipment are assessed together during the survey for the open-water leg.
