This page explains how SurveyYat (surveyyat.com) handles personal data. It is kept short; if any point is unclear, write in and we will explain it.
1. What We Collect
- What you send us: name, phone, email and details of your vessel (make, length, marina, dates). We receive these only when you send them by WhatsApp, phone or a form.
- Automatically: visit statistics (Google Analytics), which pages were viewed, device type, approximate location. This does not identify you.
- Calculators: the length, route and type you enter are computed in your own browser; nothing reaches us unless you send it.
2. Why We Process It
- To prepare a quote and come back to you
- To carry out and report the survey or delivery
- To meet statutory record-keeping obligations (invoices, contracts)
Legal grounds (KVKK Art. 5): For quotes and services your details are processed to set up and perform a contract (Art. 5/2-c), for invoices and records under a legal obligation (Art. 5/2-ç), and to keep service records under our legitimate interest (Art. 5/2-f).
Reminders and news: Sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp only if you tick the optional box on the form, based on your consent under Law No. 6563. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to a message or writing to info@surveyyat.com. Without it, we only write to you about your request.
We do not sell your data to third parties or share it for advertising.
3. Who It Is Shared With
Only as far as the service requires: the marina or yard (to book a haul-out), an agent (for transit log formalities), and your insurer where you instruct us. Your survey report is never shared with anyone without your permission, including the seller or broker.
Transfers abroad: Visit statistics are processed by Google Analytics (Google), messaging by WhatsApp (Meta) and the written quote form by FormSubmit; their servers are outside Turkey. Transfer through the form relies on the explicit consent you give with the box on the form (KVKK Art. 9); if you prefer not to consent, you can reach us directly by WhatsApp or phone. Statistics cookies run only if you accept them in the cookie banner; a WhatsApp conversation starts only when you start it. You can withdraw consent at any time in the cookie settings.
Request log: Details you send through our forms are also written to our request log, kept on Google Sheets (Google LLC), so we can follow up your request. Reminders and news are sent only if you gave separate consent; you can withdraw it at any time by writing to info@surveyyat.com.
4. How Long It Is Kept
Reports, photographs and field notes are kept for 24 months. Invoices and contracts are kept for the period tax law requires. They are deleted at the end of that period.
5. Cookies
This site places no cookies in your browser. We use Google Analytics for visit statistics, but configured in cookieless mode, no identifying data is stored, IP addresses are anonymised, and advertising and personalisation signals are switched off. All that is measured is how many times each page was viewed. That is why no cookie consent is requested.
6. Your Rights (KVKK art. 11, GDPR)
- To learn whether data about you is processed and request a copy
- To have incorrect or incomplete data corrected
- To request erasure
- To object to processing
Send your request via WhatsApp or the channels on the contact page.

Cookies and Ad Measurement
The site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement. On your first visit you are asked for consent to measurement and advertising cookies; if you decline, Google consent mode measures without cookies and only in aggregate. You can change your choice by clearing your browser data.
- Measured: page views, contacting us by WhatsApp/phone/form, calculator use.
- Ad clicks: if you arrived from a Google ad and consented, the click ID (gclid) is kept for 90 days and added to your WhatsApp message as a short reference, so we can tell which ads lead to real work.
- Form data: a phone number or email you type in a form is, with consent, sent to Google only in hashed form for conversion measurement.
