Turkey's Mediterranean coast between Kemer and Kaş is home to one of the world's densest gulet fleets and a growing motor yacht market. The intense sun, long charter seasons, and salt-heavy air create a specific pattern of wear that catches buyers off guard.
We survey across Kemer Marina, Antalya Kaleiçi, Finike and Kaş. Common findings in this region: GRP delamination and gel coat deterioration from extreme UV exposure, teak deck cracking from thermal cycling, wooden gulet hulls with localised rot beneath cosmetic repairs, and generator systems worn from constant charter use.
An independent survey carried out to ABYC standards documents every system with photographs and clear priorities. The method is the same for a 40-foot sailing yacht in Kaş and a 30-metre gulet in Finike; only the time on board changes.

Surveying in Antalya: marinas, haul-out and local points
Antalya and the surrounding coast are motor-yacht heavy and home to Turkey's superyacht-building hub. The long, hot summer raises the load on cooling circuits, air conditioning and generators.

What we look at closely here
On the sea trial, coolant temperature is watched on a long run; engine room temperature and the exhaust line are scanned with the thermal camera. Acrylic windows, seals and exterior upholstery exposed to long sun also wear.

Setur Antalya Marina has 75- and 200-tonne lifts and a paint and maintenance hangar; the yacht builders in the Antalya Free Zone are the region's centre for new-build and refit. General jobs such as machining, welding, hydraulic hoses and upholstery can be done in the city's industrial area.
Parts, materials and accessories
Chandleries and service dealers are in the city; imported parts usually come via İstanbul.
Travel and logistics
Antalya Airport is close to the city. Antalya has a strong yacht service base and large hardstanding capacity; most parts and expertise are in the city, the rest from İstanbul.

The survey fee follows our calculator: length in feet × €22.50, multiplied by the type and age factors; for Antalya a travel charge of €180 is included. Figures for boats 6-15 years old, sea trial included, excluding VAT:

The travel charge is €180, shown as a separate line in the quote. For moisture readings the boat should dry ashore for at least a week; the report is delivered in 2-3 working days.
Because of the heat, cooling and the exhaust line get extra attention: temperatures are logged on a long run during the sea trial and the engine room is scanned with a thermal camera. Sun-worn acrylic windows, seals and upholstery are assessed separately in the report.
