From the field: our measurements

Photos from our own surveys; boats and people are not identified.
How it works
- Quote: send the boat type, length and location.
- Booking: we coordinate the date and haul-out with the owner or broker. For reliable moisture readings the boat should have been ashore and dry for at least one week.
- Survey day: inspection ashore and sea trial.
- Report: 70+ pages in English within 2-3 working days.
Engine compression and blow-by testing can be arranged as a separate service with an independent engine technician.
Where we work
Based in İzmir, covering marinas along the Aegean and Mediterranean: Ayvalık · Çeşme · Bodrum · Marmaris · Datça · Antalya · Alanya.
Not in Turkey? How a remote survey works
- Scheduling: we arrange the haul-out and sea trial date with the seller or broker.
- Survey day: if you wish, key findings are shared during the day by phone or video call.
- Report: 70+ pages in English within 2-3 working days, followed by a walk-through call so you know which items belong in the price negotiation.
Survey + delivery in one quote
Bought the boat and need it moved to its new home port, in Turkey, to Greece or beyond? We can plan the survey and a skippered delivery in one written quote. The survey already records the boat's readiness for passage, so pre-delivery work is clear from the start, and handover is documented with a photo-documented delivery and arrival report.

Notes from the field
- We take moisture readings only once the hull surface is dry. Morning dew or water left from a wash-down makes the readings look higher than they are.
- We ask for the engine to be started from cold. An engine the seller has already run and warmed up will not show hard starting or smoke on first start.
- An anode that has hardly wasted is not always good news: it may be disconnected, or the wrong metal for the water the boat sits in.
