Fuel planning rules
Fuel is the motoring time for the leg multiplied by the boat's hourly consumption, plus at least 30% reserve. Use consumption measured on the boat's own passages; brochure figures are optimistic. Adverse current and headwinds increase consumption. The longest leg between two fuel stops must not exceed tank capacity including reserve. Use the provisions, water and fuel calculator for the numbers.
For marinas not listed, confirm fuel availability with the marina before departure. The list grows as places are verified.
Lazy lines removed, a jetty collapsed, fuel no longer delivered, or a new harbour opened? Write a short note; we check it and update the list.
