2. On the route
Leaving Bodrum the route passes the Kos channel and rounds Knidos at the tip of the Datça peninsula, then follows the Bozburun-Marmaris line and passes Ekincik into the Gulf of Göcek.
3. Weather, current and season
This is the classic delivery route. Current and sea build around Knidos and Datça, and the meltemi strengthens in the Gulf of Gökova in the afternoon. In summer, leave early and complete the Knidos rounding before noon.

4. Fuel and stops
The fuel plan follows the boat's range. Motor yachts usually refuel in Bodrum before departure and, if needed, in Marmaris; refuelling in Datça and Bozburun is confirmed in advance according to season and boat size.
- Non-stop: Bodrum - Knidos - off Marmaris - Ekincik - Göcek.
- With overnights: Bodrum - Datça (night 1) - Bozburun or Marmaris (night 2) - Göcek.
- If the weather turns before Knidos, Datça or Palamutbükü is the waiting point.
5. Before departure
- Papers: registration, insurance confirmed to cover the delivery, and for foreign-flagged yachts a valid transit log.
- Readiness for sea: engine oil and cooling, fuel filters and spares, bilge pumps, navigation lights, VHF and safety gear.
- The day before departure the forecast and the shelters along the route are reviewed one last time; the go/no-go decision is the skipper's.
- A photo-documented report is made at departure and on arrival, from the same angles.
