Çeşme Marina lies at the entrance to the Chios Strait, the windiest corner of our coast. Boats here work under strong wind load all year, so the rig and deck hardware come first in a survey. Port Alaçatı is 15 miles away by sea, and we work Setur Çeşme (Altınyunus) and Port Alaçatı the same way.

2. How a survey works at Çeşme Marina
At Çeşme Marina boats are hauled with a travel lift; the hull, underwater body and moisture are inspected ashore, then the boat is launched for the sea trial. For boats at Port Alaçatı, the haul-out place and date are agreed together. Sea trials are run in the calmer morning hours.
3. What we look at here
- Rig: terminal cracking, standing rigging corrosion, mast step and chainplates; rig tension is measured.
- Sail handling: furlers, travellers and winches wear faster under constant load.
- Customs: Çeşme is a port of entry; for foreign-flagged boats the transit log and papers are checked alongside the survey.

5. Planning and report
For a quote, send the model, year, length and whether the boat is ashore or afloat. The haul-out is booked around the marina's schedule; for reliable moisture readings the boat dries for at least a week ashore. The sea trial is run in open water off the marina, in the calmer morning hours. The photo report, with findings graded A-B-C, follows within 2-3 working days.
6. Fee
The fee at Çeşme Marina comes from the same formula as our calculator: length in feet × €22.5, multiplied by the type and age factors. Çeşme Marina is in our home area, so no travel charge is added. The figures below are for boats 6-15 years old, sea trial included, excluding VAT.
