Teos Marina in Seferihisar is one of the places where boats from the İzmir area are hauled out and maintained over the winter, so many boats for sale around İzmir are standing ashore at Teos when a buyer finds them. A boat ashore is ideal for hull and moisture readings; the sea trial needs a separate launch.

2. Surveying a boat ashore
Ashore, the hull, keel joint, shaft, propeller and rudder are inspected up close, and moisture readings and sounding are taken on a dry hull. If the boat has just been hauled, at least a week of drying is allowed for reliable readings.
Engines and systems can be partly run ashore; their behaviour under load needs a sea trial. Booking the launch and sea trial with the marina in advance shortens a pre-purchase survey.
3. What to check on a boat that has been ashore for long
- Engine: cooling circuit, raw-water pump impeller, water and sediment in the fuel tank, battery condition after a long idle period.
- Hull: marks or deformation where the cradle and chocks bear, blisters under the antifouling, a crack line at the keel joint.
- Seacocks and through-hulls: movement of valves that have stood dry, hoses and clips.
- Deck: leak marks where rainwater collects, deck hardware seals.
4. A boat afloat
If the boat is in the water, the afloat inspection and sea trial come first and a short haul-out is planned for the hull. Haul-out fees follow the marina tariff and are listed separately in the quote.

6. Fee
