Why Choose Us for Your Delivery?
📜
Fully Licensed
Deliveries are run under a 149 GT yacht captain licence; the papers are shared before departure. Every voyage is logged and reported.
Not included in the fee: standard practice is that fuel and provisions sit outside the service fee and are on the owner's account at actual cost. Port, canal and agency charges, and crew day rates during weather waiting, are separate items too. Every one of them is listed separately in the quotation, so you can compare it with other quotations on the same basis.
Every delivery runs on a written contract with a photographic handover protocol at departure and arrival, condition, engine hours and inventory on record.
📱
Real-Time Tracking
AIS and WhatsApp position updates throughout the voyage. You always know exactly where your boat is.
📋
Pre-Departure Check
Full safety and mechanical check before we leave the dock. Any issues flagged and agreed with you before departure.

How a Delivery Works, Three Steps
1 · QuoteSend the route, length and preferred dates. You get an itemised written quote, captain, fuel estimate, provisions, logistics, transit log if needed, with what is not included stated plainly.
2 · PreparationWe confirm your policy covers a passage with professional crew, prepare documents and crew list, and pick the weather window. Before departure: a handover protocol with photographs of hull, engine hours and inventory.
3 · Passage & handoverPosition updates and photographs over WhatsApp. On arrival: second protocol, engine hours, fuel and any findings in writing. The balance is settled before the protocol is signed.
How We Work, On the Record
Records rather than testimonials: every delivery has a log, a photographic handover protocol and a written contract. These are the rules that apply to every job.

The handover protocol is a two-page record signed at departure and arrival: hull condition, engine hours, fuel, inventory and photographs.
Insurance on a Delivery, What to Check
The yacht sails under the owner's own hull and machinery policy; the delivery service does not provide cover. Before departure we confirm four points in writing:
Navigation limits. The geographic area the policy covers. We confirm that the delivery route stays inside it.
Professional crew clause. Some policies require the owner aboard; a delivery may need separate approval.
Seaworthiness declaration. Usually a condition of cover, the skipper's confirmation that the vessel is fit for the passage.
Temporary delivery cover. Where the standing policy is insufficient, brokers can issue single-passage cover.
In practice: most disputes after an incident come down to one of these four lines. Confirming them in writing costs an email and removes the argument before it starts. Our own liability is limited to the service fee, as set out in the contract.
Survey Before or After the Delivery?
Before. On a post-purchase delivery the survey comes first. Findings such as a weeping shaft seal, tired batteries, aged fuel hoses or a fouled cooling circuit decide whether the passage can be made at all, and shape the route and the number of stops. Buying a boat and moving it before anyone has looked at it is the most expensive order of operations in this business.
After. Where the yacht has already been surveyed, the delivery becomes the first real test of the findings: the engine runs for hours under load, the rig works, the systems are used continuously. Anything noticed on passage is recorded and handed over in writing with the arrival protocol.
Pre-purchase survey → negotiation → delivery. The order that protects the buyer.
Readiness check before departure, engine, shaft seal, batteries, navigation lights, liferaft and safety gear, fuel and water. This is not a survey; it is the minimum that makes a passage safe.
Where we have surveyed a vessel we do not sell repair work on the same findings, the separation is written into the contract.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about yacht delivery and transfer services.
The total cost is built from four components: the captain's daily rate (which varies by boat size and crew requirements), an estimated fuel allowance and crew provisions; the crew's travel to and from the departure port is charged separately at cost. Motor yachts attract a higher fuel estimate due to engine consumption; sailing yachts are calculated on a lower consumption rate. All costs are shown separately in the breakdown so you can see exactly what you are paying for. A firm quote is confirmed in writing once we know the exact vessel, route and preferred dates.
Yes, the calculator includes a fuel estimate based on the boat's type and length and the route distance. For motor yachts fuel is a significant portion of the total; for sailing yachts it is much smaller. The estimate uses a diesel price of 95 TRY per litre. If current prices differ significantly at the departure port, the final quote will reflect that. We always agree the fuel basis in writing before departure.
Deliveries are skippered by a licensed yacht captain holding the Turkish Yacht Captain (149 GT) certificate and STCW, which covers paid command of yachts up to 149 gross tonnes on our coast. Copies of all relevant certificates are available on request before departure.
The vessel sails under the owner’s own hull and machinery policy. Before departure we confirm in writing that your policy remains valid for a passage with professional crew: navigation limits that cover the whole route, any clause requiring the owner on board, and the seaworthiness declaration. If the policy does not cover delivery, your broker can usually extend it.
No. Our skippered deliveries run along the Turkish coast between Istanbul and Fethiye. A foreign-flagged boat moving within Turkey needs a valid Turkish transit log; the transit log add-on (€200) in the calculator covers our time and the port formalities for it.
Duration depends on the route, boat speed and weather. The calculator estimates sailing time based on a conservative average speed, 7 knots for sailing yachts, 18 knots for motor yachts, over an 8-hour sailing day. Longer passages may include overnight sailing to maintain schedule. For multi-day deliveries we always build in a weather buffer day in the planning. You will receive a full route plan with estimated waypoints and ETAs before departure.
Yes, many owners choose to sail along for part or all of the voyage. This is entirely welcome; just let us know in advance so we can plan provisions and watch schedules accordingly. The captain retains command and full authority over all navigational and safety decisions throughout the voyage. If you are joining for a long passage, we also recommend a brief safety briefing at departure covering equipment locations, emergency procedures and communication protocols.
A pre-departure check of all critical systems is carried out before leaving the dock, engine, bilge pumps, steering, navigation lights, safety equipment. Any issues found are reported to the owner before departure and we agree how to proceed. If a problem develops at sea, the captain will divert to the nearest suitable marina, keep you informed in real time via WhatsApp, and coordinate repairs with local yards. We have established contacts with mechanics and riggers at the major marinas on our coast.
A yacht delivery is the passage of a vessel from one port to another by a professional skipper, and a deckhand where required, without the owner on board. You receive a written handover protocol with photographs at both ends.
Your hull and machinery policy must remain in force and cover delivery by professional crew. The captain's weather and routing decisions are final.
Registration and tonnage certificate, insurance policy, transit log where applicable, crew list and written owner authorisation.
The boat stays in a safe berth and you are told about the weather decision and the reason for it. Waiting beyond 24 hours is charged at the daily crew rate. Winter passages (November-March) are priced 20% higher.
Yes, position updates over WhatsApp at agreed intervals with photographs, and an AIS link on longer passages.
50% on booking to secure the dates and 50% before departure, when the departure report is signed. Cancellations less than 48 hours before departure forfeit the deposit.
No. Our skippered deliveries run along the Turkish coast between Istanbul and Fethiye.
Two to three weeks in high season (June-September), about a week off-season.
Yes, when route, weather and equipment allow. Navigation lights, radar/AIS and a working autopilot are required; otherwise we plan daylight legs and say so before the quote.
Before departure we run a readiness check: engine, shaft seal, batteries, navigation lights, liferaft and safety gear, fuel and water. If something is unsafe we do not sail; findings come in writing. This check is not a survey.
The calculator estimates from distance, length, type and season. The firm quote follows once route and dates are fixed. Fuel is billed at actual cost; marina and port fees are paid by you directly, with no commission.
Anyone you authorise can sign the handover protocol. If nobody is available we send it with photographs and take your approval remotely.
Yes, condition and pre-purchase surveys, winterisation, look-after and yacht management, quoted separately. Where we have surveyed a vessel we do not sell repair work on the same findings.
What a Yacht Delivery Covers
A yacht delivery, also called a transfer or passage crew service, is the movement of a vessel from one port to another by a professional skipper, without the owner on board. The coast we serve, Istanbul to Fethiye, alone is roughly 453 nautical miles; covering it safely takes planning, a weather window and local knowledge of the harbours in between.
After a purchase. The boat is brought from the seller's marina to your home berth. A pre-purchase survey usually comes first, and the passage is planned around its findings.
Seasonal repositioning. Wintering in Marmaris or Göcek, summering in Bodrum or the North Aegean. April-May and September-October are the natural windows for weather and berth availability.
Yard and refit moves. Short, often single-day passages from marina to yard and back, timed against the yard's lift schedule.
